Sustainable Style in Elle Decoration NL

Craftscurator is now Columnist!

Elle Decoration, the Dutch edition, now has a 6 page section on handmade and sustainable design, curated by Irene. In the first issue of 2015, that is now available at news agents, Craftscurator has highlighted the results of the 'Sustainable Design' project that took place in Vietnam.

Most of the products by Vietnamese exporters have now found their way to the market, and are available for consumers through selected retailers. The article boasts a Q&A with design studio Daphna Laurens and designer Mae Engelgeer. The bamboo lamps, lacquerware vases and hand embroidered textiles are photographed by Carlfried Verwaayen, and the still life setting is styled by Evelien Reich.

The sustainable style section in Elle Decoration also includes a spread with selected works of designers that work with recycled or natural materials, products from undiscovered sources, or made in a socially responsible way. All content is selected and written by Irene.

Read all about it in Dutch Elle Decoration 1, 2015, available from February 11, 2015 at newsstands.
