Weaving Tradition

Mungo at M&O Paris

Jan 06, 2016 by Irene Vermeulen

South African textile company Mungo will show their newest product ranges at trade fair Maison & Objet January 22-16, 2016 in hall 1 booth C72.

For more than 15 years Mungo has been weaving quality, natural fibre homeware that is made to last. Bridging the generations, Mungo is a family run business with the rare ability to create quality textiles all the way from design to the final product. Based in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, many of the products are sampled on antique 19th century Hattersley looms in Mungo's Working Weaving Museum and then individually woven at the Mungo Mill. These restored looms reflect the philosophy of using the timeless art of weaving to create high quality contemporary products that promote sustainability and transparency.

Products of Mungo can also be found in the pop-up exhibition 'Linking Maker & Market'
